Students who have passed the HSLC (Class 10) Examination 2026 can apply online for Higher Secondary 1st Year (Class 11) in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams across affiliated colleges, higher secondary schools, and senior secondary institutions in Assam.
The admission process is expected to start shortly after the declaration of Assam HSLC Result 2026 (expected on 10th April 2026).

How to Apply for HS 1st Year Admission 2026
Follow these simple steps to complete your online application:
- Scroll down to the Quick Links section and click on the HS 1st Year Online Admission link.
- The DARPAN portal will open. Click on “Register a New Account”.
- Enter your personal and educational details carefully.
- Upload scanned copies of your passport size photograph and HSLC/10th Marksheet.
- Create a 4-digit Login PIN and click on Register.
- Log in again using your credentials.
- Select your desired stream/course and up to five institutions in order of preference.
- Review all details and click on Submit.
- Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
- Keep checking the portal regularly for merit list and admission updates.
You will receive notifications on the portal regarding selection in any institution.
