SSUHS Public Notice: Mandatory Affiliation for Nursing & Health Science Institutes in Assam

SSUHS Public Notice :- The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), a state university of the Government of Assam, has issued a critical public notice regarding the legality of health science institutions operating within the state. To ensure the quality of education and protect the future of students, the university has mandated that all institutions offering Nursing, Pharmacy, and Allied & Healthcare (Paramedical) courses must be affiliated with SSUHS.

Overview of the SSUHS Mandate

As per the Assam Gazette Notification No. MER.206054/786 and Government of Assam Notification No. MER.307386/2, it is now strictly mandatory for all medical education providers in Assam to hold:

1. Affiliation with SSUHS.
2. Permission from the Medical Education & Research Department, Govt. of Assam.

Any institute operating without these credentials is officially deemed illegal.

Report Fake or Unaffiliated Institutes

To maintain transparency, SSUHS has developed a dedicated web portal on their official website (www.ssuhs.ac.in) where students, guardians, and stakeholders can report illegal institutions. The university will publish a “List of Illegal Institutions” following a thorough scrutiny of these reports.
