Science Stream

• Compulsory: English, EVS (HS 1st Year only).
• MIL Options: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, or Alternative English.
• Electives (Choose 3–4):
  • Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
  • Optional 4th Subject: Biology/Statistics/Computer Science*
  • *Computer Science requires Mathematics as one elective.

Arts Stream

• Compulsory: English, EVS (HS 1st Year only).
• MIL Options: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, or Alternative English.
• Electives (Choose 3–4):
  • Pool A (Min 2): Political Science, Economics, Education, Logic & Philosophy.
  • Pool B (Max 1): Mathematics, History.
  • Pool C (Max 1): Anthropology, Advance Bengali/Hindi, Arabic, Computer Science*, Geography, Persian, Sanskrit, Statistics.
  • *Computer Science requires Mathematics.

Step-by-Step Application Process

1. Step 1: Apply via DARPAN Portal
   • Register on the DARPAN Portal (Division-II, ASSEB).
   • Select Cotton University as your preferred institution.
   • Obtain the ARN (Application Reference Number).
2. Step 2: Apply via Cotton University Portal
   • Use the ARN to complete the application on the Cotton University Admission Portal.
   • Upload required documents .
   • Application Fee: ₹300 (online payment only).
3. Step 3: Await Merit List & Counseling
   • Check the portal for updates on merit lists and seat allotment.

Required Documents (Scanned Copies)

1. Passport-sized photo.
2. Candidate’s signature.
3. Class 10 mark sheet.
4. Caste/Domicile/EWS Certificate (if applicable).
5. Gap Year Declaration: Required if passed Class 10 before 2025 (max 3-year gap allowed).

Reservation Rules

Special Provisions:

• Sports/Cultural Quota: Direct admission for national/international participants.
• Differently Abled (PWD): As per Assam Govt. rules.
