Eligibility Criteria

To secure admission into the polytechnics of Assam, candidates must meet the following strict eligibility requirements:

1. Educational Qualification

• Exam Passed: Applicants must have successfully completed the HSLC (10th Standard) examination or an equivalent qualification in a single sitting.
• Mandatory Subjects: Mathematics and Science are compulsory.
• Subject Requirements: Candidates must have passed both the Theory and Practical components of Mathematics and Science individually.
• Minimum Marks Requirement:
  • General & OBC/MOBC: 40% aggregate in Math & Science.
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 35% aggregate in Math & Science.
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 33% aggregate in Math & Science.
  • PwD: Based on the candidate’s own category (General/OBC/SC/ST).

2. Age Limit

• Minimum Age: Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by December 31, 2026.
• Maximum Age: There is no maximum age restriction for applying.
