The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division – II, formerly known as the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), has introduced the “Darpan” Online Admission Portal for seamless admission into Higher Secondary 1st Year courses for the academic session 2025-2026. Students who have passed the HSLC examination this year can apply online for admission into HS 1st Year (11th Standard) through this portal.

- Start of Online Application: 17th April 2025
- Last Date to Apply Online: 24th April 2025
- Preparation of Merit List by Institutes: 25th April 2025 to 26th April 2025
- Declaration of Merit List: 27th April 2025 (10:00 AM)
- Acceptance of Admission Offer by Students: 27th April 2025 to 29th April 2025
- Confirmation of Admissions by Institutions: 30th April 2025 to 10th May 2025
How to Check the Assam HS 1st Year Merit List?
The category-wise Assam HS Admission 2025 Merit List will be published on the Darpan portal by the respective institutions. Students can check their merit list by following these steps:
- Visit the Important Web Links section on the official portal.
- Click on the HS 1st Year Merit List link.
- A new webpage will load. Enter your Mobile Number, Date of Birth, and Security PIN, then click Login.
- The Darpan portal dashboard will open. Click on the Application Submitted button.
- A list of all submitted applications for colleges/schools will be displayed.
- Check the status of your admission request next to each school/college.
- If shortlisted, click on the Accept Admission Request link to confirm your admission in the desired institution.
Seat Allotment and Admission Process
After the merit list is published, students must log in to the Darpan portal to select their preferred school or college within the stipulated time. Seat allotment details will be available online, and students must complete the admission process within the given timeframe to secure their seats.
