SSUHS GNM 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the GNM course under SSUHS, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Residency: A Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) is mandatory for admission into Government Institutes of Assam.
- Age: Minimum 17 years as of December 31, 2026.
- Education:
- 10+2 passed with English, securing at least 40% marks in the qualifying exam and in English individually.
- Candidates from State Open Schools or NIOS are eligible.
- Registered ANM holders with pass marks are also eligible to apply.
- Relaxation: SC/ST candidates receive a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks
SSUHS GNM Exam Details and Pattern
The examination will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at various centers including Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Nalbari, Dhubri, and Kokrajhar.
- Total Marks: 100 Marks (100 Questions x 1 Mark each).
- Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).+1
- Language: Questions will be available in English and Assamese.
- Negative Marking: There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
- Standard: The syllabus is based on the Class 10th (HSLC) standard.

- Fill Application: Carefully enter your details as per the instructions provided on the portal.
- Pay Fee: Pay the requisite entrance examination fee online through the University’s payment gateway. PwD (Divyang) candidates with 40% or more disability are exempted from this fee.
- Save Credentials: Keep your Application Number and Password safe; these are required to download your Admit Card later
Merit List & Tie-Breaker Rules
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in the Entrance Examination. In case of a tie, inter-se-merit will be decided as follows:
a. Candidates securing more marks in English in the Entrance Examination. b. Candidates securing more marks in General Science in the Entrance Examination. c. Candidates securing more marks in Mathematics in the Entrance Examination. d. If marks still remain equal, then marks in English, General Science, and Mathematics of HSLC (10th standard) Examination shall be considered.
Minimum Qualifying Cut-off / Percentile will be notified later.
