SSUHS Medical Entrance Exams in Assam 2025
The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Assam, conducts various medical entrance exams for admission into undergraduate courses such as B.Sc Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical, and GNM. These exams are highly competitive and are conducted annually to select eligible candidates for government and private institutions in Assam.
List of Medical Entrance Exams
- B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam: For admission into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
- Pharmacy Entrance Exam (B.Pharm & D.Pharm): For admission into Bachelor and Diploma in Pharmacy programs.

Common Entrance Exam for B.Sc Nursing admission in government & private institutions.
📖 Syllabus:
- Physics (Class 11 & 12 NCERT)
- Chemistry (Class 11 & 12 NCERT)
- Biology (Class 11 & 12 NCERT)
- English Grammar
There shall be 1 (one) paper consisting of 100 objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English.
Questions will be of HS (10+2) Science standard.
Distribution of marks will be: Physics – 25 marks, Chemistry – 25 marks, Biology (Zoology and Botany) – 25 marks, and English – 25 marks.
💊 SSUHS Pharmacy Entrance (B.Pharm & D.Pharm)
Entrance exam for Bachelor & Diploma in Pharmacy programs.
📖 Syllabus:
- Physics (Class 11 & 12 NCERT)
- Chemistry (Class 11 & 12 NCERT)
- Biology OR Mathematics (Class 11 & 12 NCERT)
- English Grammar
📝 Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or Equivalent Examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and/or Mathematics from a recognized Board/Council/University without grace marks.
However, students passing 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non-classroom-based schooling (such as National Institute of Open Schooling, open school system of States, etc.) shall not be eligible for admission to the B.Pharm course.
Candidate must be a minimum of 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
📄 Exam Details:

For admission into B.Sc Medical Technology & other paramedical courses.

📝 Eligibility Criteria:
The minimum qualification for selection of the candidates is H.S.S.L.C (Science) (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 45% marks in case of General Candidates and 40% for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P) and ST(H) candidates.
Candidate must be a minimum of 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
🏥 GNMEE (GNM Entrance Exam)
For admission into the General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) program.
📖 Syllabus:
- Science (Class 10 Level)
- Mathematics (Class 10 Level)
- English Grammar (Class 10 Level)
📄 Exam Details:
There will be 1 (one) paper consisting of:
- English
- Mathematics
- General Science
The questions of these subjects shall be of 10th standard.
The Examination shall be for 100 marks (100 Questions x 1 Mark each).
Distribution of marks: English – 50 marks, Mathematics – 25 marks, and General Science – 25 marks.
There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. Unanswered questions shall be awarded zero marks.
The questions will be in both English & Assamese language. However, the candidates will be required to fill in the OMR Sheet of the Entrance Examination in English only.
📝 Eligibility Criteria:
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December, 2024.
The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
There is no age bar for ANM/LHS candidates.
The minimum educational qualification for selection of the GNM candidates is:
- HSSLC (10+2) or its equivalent passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with an aggregate of 40% marks.
- 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health Care Science – Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSCE/ICSCE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
- 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent Board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.
- Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
