Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam Recruitment 2025
The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has released two employment notifications for the recruitment of 4500 posts of Assistant Teacher in Lower and Upper Primary Schools of Assam. Candidates who are Indian Citizens as well as permanent residents of Assam and qualified in the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) may apply online for these posts.

Name of Post: Assistant Teacher (LP) & Assistant Teacher (UP)
No of Posts: 4500
- Lower Primary: 2900 posts
- Upper Primary: 1600 posts

Eligibility Criteria
For Lower Primary Teachers:
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary School.
For Upper Primary Teachers:
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
- Graduate from a UGC-recognized University.
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.
For Science Teacher (UP):
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
- B.Sc. from a UGC-recognized University.
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.
For Hindi Teacher (UP):
- Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent).
- Graduate with Hindi as one of the subjects from a UGC-recognized University.
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.

- Click on the “Online Application Form” and complete the registration process.
- Fill in all personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.
- Submit the form and note the Unique Number for future reference.
Documents Required:
- Passport Size Photograph.
- HSLC Admit Card.
- HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
- Graduation Mark-sheet and Certificate.
- DElEd/ BEd Marksheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate.
- Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC).
- Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
- Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET for UPS.
- Certificate of Disabilities (if applicable).
- Certificate of Ex-servicemen (if applicable).
- Scanned Signature.
