Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Educational Qualification: A candidate should hold a Bachelor Degree in Science with Physics as one of the subjects or Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
- Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025.
Age Criteria:
The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relaxable as follows:
- For SC/ST Candidates: By 5 years, i.e., up to 43 years.
- For OBC/MOBC Candidates: By 3 years, i.e., up to 41 years, as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated 25th April 2018.
- For Ex-Servicemen: The maximum age shall be 50 years as on 01-01-2025 for Unreserved category. This is further relaxable by 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- For Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years relaxation irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR category, as per Govt. Memorandum No. ABP 144/95/121 dated 28th October 2015.
Note:
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated based on the Class X/Class XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council where the Age/Date of Birth (DOB) is clearly reflected. No other document will be accepted as proof of age.
For PwBD Category Candidate:
To be eligible for consideration under the PwBD category, a candidate must possess a Benchmark Disability and must produce the necessary certificate issued by the competent authority. Relevant documents must be uploaded.
For Government Employees:
Candidates who are already in regular Government service, whether in a permanent or temporary capacity (excluding casual, ad-hoc, daily wages, hourly paid, or contract basis), must upload a certificate issued by the competent authority to prove their employment for the applied post.
Additionally, candidates seeking pay protection, continuation in service, etc., must upload a ‘No Objection Certificate (NOC)’ issued by the competent authority under which they are working.

- Fee Relaxation:
To avail the application fee relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/BPL categories, candidates must produce a valid certificate issued by the competent authority. - Rejection of Applications:
Applications without the prescribed fee will not be considered and will be summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained. - Non-Refundable Fees:
Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances, nor can the fees be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
