Assam Polytechnic Lateral Entry 2025 -The Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Assam has officially released the Lateral Entry to Polytechnic Admission Notification 2026 for ITI passed students. Eligible candidates from permanent residents of Assam who have completed 2-year ITI trades can apply for admission into 2nd Semester (Bridge Course) of Polytechnic Engineering branches in various Government Polytechnics of Assam.
This notification allows ITI students to pursue diploma engineering directly through lateral entry for the academic session 2026.
The counselling is being conducted for admission into the 2nd Semester Diploma in Engineering & Technology courses under State Government Polytechnics of Assam.
The selection is based on the Provisional Selected List issued by the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam.

Application Process – Step by Step
Step 1: Visit your ITI
Go to the same ITI where you completed your course.
Step 2: Collect the Application Form
Ask for the Lateral Entry to Polytechnic 2026 Admission Application Form from the institute office.
Step 3: Fill Up the Form
Enter all required details including:
- Personal details
- Educational qualification
- Trade and Polytechnic branch preference
- Category details if applicable
Step 4: Attach Required Documents
