Eligibility requirements:
✅Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council (INC)-recognized institution.
- Minimum 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).
Professional Requirements:
- Must hold a valid R.N./R.M. or equivalent registration with the State Nursing Council.
- Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing OR 1 year before/after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
Residential & Citizenship Rules:
- Indian citizenship is mandatory.
- For Government Colleges in Assam:
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Exemption: Son/daughter/spouse of Assam Govt. employees.
- NEC Candidates:
- No Assam PRC required.
- Application must be forwarded by NEC Secretary with caste authentication.
Regional college of nursing, GMCH, Guwahati
NUMBER OF SEATS
- Total Admission Strength in the Regional College of Nursing, Guwahati is 30 per session (Sanctioned by Govt. of Assam & Indian Nursing Council), 6 (six) per Clinical Speciality. However in Regional College of Nursing, Guwahati, out of these 30 (thirty) seats, 7 (seven) seats are reserved for NEC quota.
- Clinical Speciality – Medical Surgical Nursing (Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Nursing, Critical care Nursing, Oncology Nursing, Neurosciences Nursing, Nephro-Urology Nursing, Orthopedic Nurisng, Gastro Enterology Nursing,)Obstetric & Gynaecological Nursing, Child Health (Paediatric) Nursing, Mental Health(Psychiatric) Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing etc.
