Tech Programs (self-financing) for 2025-26 (This application form is only for the In-campus B.Tech programme (Self Finance) of ASTU, NOT for CEE-2025 counselling. Eligibility Criteria for B Tech Program
To be eligible for the B.Tech program at ASTU, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- As per the AICTE approval process handbook 2024-25 to 2026-27 (page no. 108), candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Bio-technology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship.
- Candidates must have at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in the 10+2 examination.
- Candidates must not be below 17 years of age as of 1st July 2025.
- Candidates must possess good moral character.
- Candidates must be physically and mentally fit.
Admission Criteria and Procedure
Selection for the B Tech program at ASTU will be based on the following criteria:
- First 10 seats will be filled by JEE-2024 rank (with the reservation policy of the Government of Assam, as applicable).
- Vacant seats will be filled by CEE-2024 rank (with the reservation policy of the Government of Assam, as applicable).
- If seats remain vacant after the above steps, they will be filled based on the merit of a written test conducted by the university.
B Tech Programs and Intake Capacity
- B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning): 30 seats
- B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence): 30 seats
- B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security): 30 seats
- B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science): 30 seats
- B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things): 30 seats (subject to response and availability)
